My Personal Story

 

Hi, I'm Sandra

On a personal note, I come from a large family, I am the eldest of six, I have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful young adults, lots of nieces and nephews and I love our large family gatherings particularly at Christmas.

I love flowers and flower arranging. I am a passionate gardener and our family grows our own vegetables, herbs, berries and fruit. My husband and I also love fishing, camping, the Australian bush and travelling.

I have always been fascinated by organisation and efficiency. At 10 years old, I was programing my own games with GW Basic (back in the mid-80's when hardly anyone had a computer) and I was one of the only girls in the brand new computer classes in high school. My favourite subjects at school included Commerce and Computers.

I remember when I was 16, I wanted to become a Systems Analyst and did work experience in this position. A Systems Analyst works with staff to analyse their work processes and then writes software to streamline those processes and take the mundane work out of the tasks to free people up to do more meaningful and intelligent work.

Instead of going to university, life led me on a different path but I have come full circle and am doing the same type of work - streamlining systems to become more efficient and effective. The main difference is that now days, much of the software has already been created and is available off the shelf.

But that efficiency streak is still in my bones - I love it!

I simply don't see the point in people wasting time on boring, routine tasks when there are more efficient, meaningful and profitable ways to achieve a greater result.

My Professional Story

 

 

As I worked up through my career in all of the various industries, I would enthusiastically learn my role, streamline it  like a well-oiled machine then promote to the next role

I learned how to quickly adapt to new roles, how to fit into a new business team, what was the same and what was different in different businesses and industries. I became quick to identify areas that could be streamlined to increase profitability.

I just didn't see the point in doing routine tasks that could be automated and streamlined and I preferred to use my intelligence and creativity for more meaningful work.

I took as many courses as I could to develop my skills including time management, project planning, business management, accounts payable and receivable, a very long list of software courses, event management, leadership, professional sponsorship and fundraising, social media, marketing and the list just goes on...

I remember always wanting to run my own business, so when I had the chance to launch out on my own, I did with full gusto and enthusiasm. As an Efficient Consultant I offered:

  • strategic planning
  • time management
  • creating and documenting procedures
  • researching.and integrating software to streamline their business
  • many other strategies specific to the needs of each business.

I provided my clients with highly customised services and had a full schedule. As the work increased, I grew my team. We were fully booked and the business was running well. 

I quickly learned how valuable efficiency support is for business owners and what a difference it makes to the stress levels of the owner and their team.  I saw the impact it had on their teams, families, customers and suppliers.

I realised  that there aren't many Efficiency Consultants out there helping small to medium business. Big business could afford expensive consulting firms and big teams. But the average family business had to figure it all out on their own.

I realised the best way I could help as many small business owners as possible was to launch my online Efficiency for Business Owners course.

I have taken all of the training and experience I have gained from helping other business owners like yourself and consolidated it into the most valuable, effective and practical course possible to help you turn your business into a highly efficient business.

I’m proud to admit I now have over 8 years’ experience as an Efficiency Consultant and 30 years' business and administration experience in a wide variety of industries:
